There have been seasons in my life where rest felt out of reach.
Not because I didn’t need it, but because everything else felt more urgent.
Work to finish.
People to care for.
Expectations to meet.
And somewhere along the way, rest became something I would get to “later.”
What I’ve come to understand is that rest doesn’t just restore your energy, it restores your soul, your sense of self.
It’s often the first thing to go, and the very thing that helps you come back to who you are.
This nomination is personal to me because I know how easy it is to miss that in ourselves and how meaningful it is when someone else sees it for us.
If someone came to your mind as you read this, I hope you’ll take a moment to tell us about her.
It might feel small, but being recognized in the middle of a full season can stay with someone longer than you think.

Nominate Someone Who Needs to Be Reminded
At Slumber, we know rest is essential for women — not just for sleep, but for living with more clarity, presence, and ease.
And yet, so many women move through their days without it.
They keep going.
They carry more than they say out loud.
They show up — for their families, their work, their communities — often without being asked.
Over time, that kind of giving can leave very little space to receive.
This month, we want to change that, even in a small way.
Why We’re Doing This
Slumber was created with a simple belief: when a woman rests well, she lives differently.
She feels more like herself.
More steady. More present. More able to meet her life as it is.
But rest doesn’t always come easily — especially in seasons where she’s holding everything together.
Sometimes, what makes the difference is being seen. Having someone pause long enough to say, I notice you.
This is our way of helping you create that moment.
Who You Might Nominate
You may already be thinking of her.
A friend navigating a quiet, heavy season.
A mother who rarely slows down.
A sister, a colleague, a neighbor — someone who gives more than she lets on.
If she came to mind, that’s enough.
How It Works
We’re inviting you to nominate a woman who could use a reminder that she is loved, supported, and allowed to rest.
To submit a nomination:
Send us a direct message on Instagram and share her story — tell us who she is, what she’s been navigating, and why you thought of her.
Please include:
- Her name and email
- Your name and email
We’ll thoughtfully select a few women to receive Slumber — designed to bring comfort at the end of her day and help her feel more like herself again.
Timeline
Submissions are open through May 30.
Selected recipients will be contacted directly.
A Small Way to Show Up
This is a special way of noticing each other.
Appreciating who we are. Reminding her that she matters.
Because when a woman rests well, everything she carries begins to feel a little lighter.
